Welcome to piddles.net, a fansite that hosts anything&everything related to the Hallmark characters hoops&yoyo. On this domain, you will find a database archiving&compiling almost everything ever released under the brand (that still exists on the Internet, of course) in one neat and tidy place. who ELSE would be insane enough to do that?!
This is more of a landing-page where I host things that don't really belong on the archive and that I'm not sure where else to put... Maybe some fan-made materials as well. Obviously this site is a work-in-progress; will it ever be completed? Who knows? Regardless of my laziness, enjoy browsing.
hoops&yoyo are (or were) characters created for Hallmark Cards by Bob Holt in 2001. They were originally created to appear in e-cards, but quickly grew into a franchise spanning greeting cards, an endless amount of merchandise, two television specials and an equivalent number of albums, & more. Sadly, they were unceremoniously retired in 2015.
This site is the "end-result" of a project I've been working on for over three years now.
I randomly remembered hoops&yoyo at the beginning of 2021 and ever since then I've been neurotically saving & cataloguing everything to do with them that I can possibly find. Coming off of long-term obsessions with mascots and Hallmark cards respectively, I became totally enamored with these characters that I once only had a vague recollection of.
I want to share that love with you. Whether you never forgot, if you've just now been reminded they once existed, or even if you've never seen them before, take some time to browse what I've curated so far.
I chose this domain name 'cause Piddles is my favorite (can't you tell?) I thought it would be cute in contrast with the original domain (hoopsandyoyo.com). I registered it at the end of 2023 after struggling for who-knows-how-long to come up with one. Miraculously, it was only recently deleted and made available!
So here I am now, after an excruciatingly long time, bringing you a cool site made exclusively for all 27 remaining fans of hoops&yoyo <3
